Working with partners is common place in today’s world. A partner is any individual or organization, whether it is a deployment partner, sub contractor, supplier or even a financial partner, who works with you to achieve a common deliverable or target. Invariably, a partner is external to your own organization and thus naturally there tends to be certain challenges to communications, such as knowing when and how to contact, or even who to contact. Often costly mobiles are seen as the best way to communicate, as it is the one means of communication which is seen personal to an individual. However, by federating with key partners, key stakeholders can be provided with presence information of partner peers, as well as a means of cost effective two-way communications through instant messaging. Users are also then empowered to control their availability and preference settings, as to whom, when and how others contact them. Partner portals can also be created to facilitate the sharing of critical information between key individuals in a secure manner. BENEFITS - Improved real time collaboration - Reduced costs - Informed decision making - Visibility of important information |
