Questions & answers

Do I have to purchase any capital equipment?

No, this is not necessary. The package includes all the necessary elements to get you started and is designed in such a way that you are basically buying the UC experience for a trial period. You are not buying any hardware, licenses or applications. There is an option to provide your own server if you wish, as long as it meets with the required specification. This will not affect the price in any way.

What happens after the 60 days?

We will have a consultation with you during and at the end of the trial period to establish whether you wish to keep and develop your UC deployment, or whether you have decided not to proceed. If it is the former then we will happily have further discussions with you to plan and design you UC development strategy to meet your requirements. You will also be entitled to a discount, up to the full value of the package if your organisation decides to engage NEC do a full rollout of Microsoft OCS 2007 after the trial period.   If however, you decide not to proceed, then we will simply arrange to remove the components of the package and return your network schema settings to the original settings.

How long does it take to deploy from order?

Every effort is made to deploy your installation within 10 working days from the date we confirm receipt of your order. On the rare occasion that this is not possible, we will communicate with you to discuss further. Your project manager would contact you shortly after receipt of your order to agree the project timeline no matter what the situation.

What support do I get throughout the 60 days?

Throughout the initial 60 day period, you will be given access to our IT support desk which will provide you with any necessary support. In addition, your Account Manager will keep in constant contact with you to ensure you are getting the most from the experience.

Are there any pre-requisites I need to be aware of?

Yes. In order to have integration with your email, you need to be running Microsoft Exchange 2003 or more recent versions of Microsoft Exchange.

In addition, if you decide to provide your own server, it will need to meet a required specification which can be supplied on request.
